Signals Media Arts is looking for a
Consultant that has experience of the funded media industry and arts/charity
sector. The consultancy must provide
practical assistance in the determination of the organisation’s strategic
vision and five-year business plan. The consultancy has been funded by Screen
East, Essex County Council and Colchester Borough Council. As core funders,
these organisations are seeking a business plan that identifies the future of
Signals within their own strategic plans, makes a case for investment in and

SSL VPN Secure Gateway Implementation
The Scottish Arts Council wishes to commission the installation of
an SSL VPN Secure Gateway solution. The solution will integrate with a
Citrix Presentation Server (XenApp) 4.5 Farm as well as other network
services. The solution will facilitate secure remote access to
Scottish Arts Council data and network services for Scottish Arts
Council staff and other remote users.

Heritage Lottery Fund Procurement
The Heritage Lottery Fund distributes money raised by the United
Kingdom’s National Lottery to projects which conserve our diverse
heritage and help people engage with it. Our definition of heritage
includes historic buildings and townscapes; archaeology; museums and
archives; landscapes and parks; habitats and species; oral history,
cultural traditions and community heritage.
The Fund is undertaking two procurements to provide framework agreements of:
1. Lead Monitoring services for our large and/or complex
capital and activity heritage projects. Lead Monitors monitor the
delivery of a project, including ensuring that best practice is
achieved and financial reporting and management is sound and
transparent.
2. Mentoring, Expert Advisors and Associate Monitoring services
for a wide range of heritage projects. Expert Advisors provide
specialist advice on applications for funding. Mentors assist
applicants in the development of an application.Associate Monitors
assist in monitoring specialist aspects of the delivery of a project.
Organisations and individuals are invited to formally express their
interest by replying to the OJEU notices which can be found on the

Public Art
Consultant Brief
The Friends of Cannock Chase Children’s Centre has
recently received a Grants for the Arts award to commission a community
driven piece of public art in the grounds of Cannock Chase Children’s
Centre. During the first stage of the project, a Public Art Consultant is
required to work alongside the Steering Group to examine the scope for
public art at the Centre through consultation with users and stakeholders. A budget of £7500 has been allocated which includes
all travel, material and other incidental expenses. This fee is based on
£300 per day over 25 days. No fee is available for the tender
process. It is envisaged that interviews for the Public Arts
Consultant will take place the beginning of June for work to commence at
the latest the end of June. An artist/s should be in place to begin
workshops during the autumn school term 2008.

Illustrate Mourne Scenic Heritage Driving Route
Mourne Heritage Trust is currently seeking a suitable artist to
represent a ‘Scenic Heritage Driving Route’ [illustrated map] around
the Mourne and Slieve Croob Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
The purpose of the project is to represent the area artistically and
help stimulate a renewed interest in the shared culture and heritage
associated with the area.
The ‘Scenic Heritage Driving Route’ is approximately 100 miles and will
traverse 3 council areas incorporating approximately 35 sites of
heritage interest. Sites will include State Care, Scheduled Sites and
Monuments as well as sites of community interest.
Artists wishing to be considered for this piece of work should be
available to work closely with the Rural Heritage Officer between 12th
May and 30th June 2008 (7 weeks). Completed work should be submitted
to Mourne Heritage Trust no later than this date.
Artists wishing to be considered for this piece of work should provide
Mourne Heritage Trust with an illustration (no larger than A3) of the
specific marked section of an existing map (5cm x 5cm). To obtain a
copy of the map with marked area illustrated please contact Mourne

This illustration should represent the style the artist proposes to use
for the entire route. Artists should enclose a Curriculum Vitae (CV)
briefly detailing projects they have previously been involved in.
A budget NOT exceeding £4,000 is available to the artist for this project.
Artists wishing to be considered for this piece of work should provide
a costing for the overall illustration of the area.
